Skylark Machine has designed and manufactured High Velocity Impact Testers for the safety manufacturing industry requiring compliance with ANSI and CSA standards for safety eyewear in which they produce. The tester comes standard with a head form base that slides, pivots and is adjustable up and down and scales to indicate the degree of angle of pivot for both the left and right eye. Other standard features include a LCD readout, which also gives immediate data for statistical information based on shots fired, regulated air pressure with dual gauges, magazine loading of 1/4" balls and safety interlocks on the firing button and chamber door, high pressure gauging for required velocities above 375 feet per second, through-the-barrel laser sighting and male 50th percentile head form. An operator places product to be tested on a head form and closes the chamber door. The firing chamber air pressure is adjusted by a fill needle valve and a bleed needle valve so that exact air pressure may be set. The operator pushes the fire button and records the velocity as directly displayed on the readout.
